DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION OF ABSTRACTS

Participants must submit their abstract(s) before May 15, 2019 at 23:59 hrs (GMT-6, Mexico City time, Mexico). There will be no extension for the submission of abstracts.

SPECIFICATIONS

All abstracts must be attached to the Registration Form. The file format must be .doc or .docx. The name of the file must correspond to the full name of the author and the type of presentation (Acanthaster planci-oral.doc).

The file should include Title, Authors, Affiliations, E-mail of the speaker, Keywords (maximum 5), Type of speaker (Student; Professional), Presentation preference (Oral; Poster) and Thematic Area (Taxonomy, Systematics and Phylogeny; Ecology and Conservation; Paleontology; Physiology and Biochemistry; Reproduction and Development; Aquaculture and Fisheries).

Maximum length of 300 words.


MODALITIES OF PRESENTATION

Oral presentation format

Maximum length of 15 minutes: 12 minutes for presentation and 3 minutes for questions. The presentations must be prepared in the Power Point program. The presentation may be submitted in Power Point or PDF format.

Poster format

The measurements shall not exceed 0.90 m wide x 1.20 m high (vertical), with legible letters at a distance of at least 2 m.

CONSIDERATIONS

  • Abstracts must be from works not presented in previous conferences.
  • Each speaker will have the right to present a maximum of one oral presentation and two posters, or two oral presentations and one poster.
  • The official language of the event is Spanish; however, presentations and posters may be presented in Spanish, Portuguese or English. Only abstracts in those languages ​​will be reviewed.
  • The speakers may suggest the type of presentation they wish to present; however, the evaluation committee will determine the presentation modality for each abstract.
